Open Burning

Burning trash or debris is not allowed in Davis County. Agricultural burning is allowed by state rule but is limited to prunings from trees, bushes and plants essential to agriculture and weeds along ditch banks used for irrigation.

The Air Quality Bureau does NOT issue permits for agricultural burns nor do any of the fire departments within the county. Individuals requesting to burn must meet provisions set forth by the county fire marshal and notify the local fire department prior to a burn.
