Bike Safety

Thousands of people die every year due to traumatic brain injuries that could have been prevented if they would have put on a helmet. Wearing a helmet can reduce the risk of head and brain injury by as much as 88 percent. Some activities available on bike safety are:

  • Bike Rodeo kits are available to use at your school or community events. It provides a fun way to learn the rules of the road and the proper way to wear a helmet.

  • Gear Up Games provide hands on experience to learn several safety techniques from how to wear your seat belt to proper fit of a helmet. Gear Up Games are a wonderful activity to have at your school or community event.

  • Low cost helmets for children and adults are available through the Davis County Health Department.
