Mobile Command Center
Davis County Sheriff's Office Mobile Command Center (MCC) was delivered just in time for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. The MCC is used as an on-scene forward Emergency Operations Center (EOC) that provides a setting for commanders in the field to make plans and decisions. Personnel are able to collaborate and meet in an environment that is free from bad weather and has enough comforts to support operations for about 72 hours.
After using the MCC for a few years, we were able to learn what does or does not work and the equipment that is necessary to function in an emergency. We have strived to make our Command Center a "Swiss Army Knife" by housing a variety of technological implements to meet the needs of the community in an emergency response situation.
The MCC is on call and available 24/7, 365 days a year to all Davis County public safety jurisdictions.
