In 2006, Deputy Geoff Hasty began his service at the the Davis County Sheriff's Office in the Justice Services Division. He was selected to be a D.A.R.E. instructor in 2010.
Deputy Hasty is also assigned to the Emergency Response Team (ERT). His duties include responding to call outs as well as maintaining the Mobile Command Post and equipment used by the Sheriff's Office ERT and Search and Rescue Team. He continues to maintain his assignment as a Taser Instructor and Coordinator for the Sheriff's Office.
Off duty time is spent with his wife and five children, working on home projects or helping with the family farm.
Deputy Thon has been with the Sheriff's Office since 2006. He began working for the Justice Services Division as a Deputy in Court Security, until receiving the assignment as the School Resource Officer of West Point Junior High in January 2012.
Deputy Thon is also assigned to the Emergency Response Team (ERT). His duties include responding to call outs as well as maintaining the Mobile Command Post and equipment used by the Sheriff's Office ERT and Search and Rescue Team.
Deputy Rhonda Smith is excited to be the first female D.A.R.E Officer with the Davis County Sheriff's Office! She has been with the Davis County Sheriff's Office since 1993. Before starting her career at the Sheriff's Office, she worked for First Security Bank and was an addiction counselor at DaySpring Counseling Center in Weber County.
Deputy Rhonda Smith has enjoyed working in her various assignments at the Davis County Sheriff's Office. She started as a Correctional Officer in the Davis County Correctional Facility and continued her career working in Drug Court as a Victim Advocate Liaison. She is currently assigned to Court Security in the Second District Court. Deputy Smith assists in training future police officers at Weber State University.
In her free time, she teaches personal and home safety to women and children throughout the community and local church organizations. She enjoys singing and does so for local community events. Rhonda also enjoys helping with parades, safety fairs, and the Davis County Fair.
She grew up in Weber County and is married with four children and five wonderful grandchildren. She enjoys antiquing, traveling and spending time with her family.
Deputy Smith is very excited to be working as a D.A.R.E. Officer as it is a wonderful opportunity to help Davis County children prepare for a successful future. She loves the community she works in and is glad that she is able to provide assistance in many different ways.
