Davis County Tax Administration

The Davis County Commission authorized a new Tax Administration Department for the 2009 property tax season. This department is responsible for the administration of abatements, the delinquent tax sale and property tax appeals in Davis County. This includes the acceptance of all forms associated with those services.

Abatements include Veteran's Abatement, Low Income and the Blind abatement. The delinquent tax sale is generally held in May of each year and provides for the sale of properties that are in their 5th year of delinquency. Property owners dissatisfied with their valuation may appeal the value during the timeframe provided by law; generally the 45 day period ending on September 15th.
