A new website is helping community members find
local resources. The Davis Links Resource
Directory, found at davislinks.org, is a
one-stop source with programs and services for

code. Many free and low-cost programs are

Town Hall Announcement

Davis County Commissioner John Crofts invites all residents to attend a public Town Hall Meeting.
This meeting will focus on:
- The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Sunshine Laws
- America’s tradition of a free press and why it matters
- Utah’s history with county-wide newspapers and Davis County’s own press legacy
- Past relationships between Davis County Commissioners and the media
- The current challenges of sustaining a free local newspaper
- Potential solutions for bringing back a community newspaper in Davis County

|
The final portion of the evening will be open for citizen questions and discussion, giving residents the opportunity to talk directly with Commissioner Crofts and meet other public officials.
Join us at the Historic Davis County Courthouse, second floor, on September 18th from 6–8 PM for an important conversation about transparency, local journalism, and the future of community engagement in Davis County.

Americans and the Holocaust
U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum - Traveling Exhibit
September 30th – November 6th
Clearfield Branch Library

This exhibit addresses important themes in American history, including American’s responses to refugees, war and genocide in the 1930s and ‘40s.

Recognition
|
Commissioner Bob J. Stevenson Receives Chamber Legacy Award
|
|
|
The Davis Chamber of Commerce is proud to honor Commissioner Bob J. Stevenson with the 2025 Chamber Legacy Award, the Chamber’s highest recognition for long-term leadership and service.
A lifelong Layton resident, Stevenson’s career spans teaching, 35+ years with Nestlé USA, and over 25 years running BJS Quality Homes. His public service includes Layton City Council, Mayor, and since 2019, Davis County Commissioner. He has also volunteered as a firefighter, umpire, and community leader.
Currently, Stevenson serves on numerous boards, including co-chair of the Northern Utah Economic Alliance and chair of the UTA Advisory Council. He and his wife Lisa enjoy their family of four children and eight grandchildren.
Chamber President Angie Osguthorpe said, “Bob’s unwavering commitment to public service and leadership has strengthened our local economy and sense of community. We are proud to honor him with this award.”
