The free Davis Links Resource Directory connects Davis County residents to over 5,100 local, state, and national programs for basic needs, mental health, family support, and outdoor activities. Davis4Health Celebrated 12 Years of Working Together

On February 24, 66 community members attended the Davis4Health 12th Annual Celebration. Participants received the 2025 Community Health Improvement Plan progress report. Guest speakers included Brent Craven of myHometown Layton and Utah Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Deirdre Amaro, who highlighted the Davis County Suicide Postvention Workgroup and prevention coordinators Teresa Smith and Jessica Gehring.

In honor of National Senior Nutrition Month, Davis County Senior Services is highlighting its nutrition programs for older adults. Available services include home-delivered meals, community dining options, and nutrition advice to help seniors maintain their health, independence, and social connections. To access these services, volunteer, or learn more, call Davis County Senior Services at (801) 525-5050.

Code Blue Winter Response

Davis County activates Code Blue emergency winter services when temperatures drop to 18 degrees or below. During activations, the Warming Center at 22 East 200 South in Clearfield operates from 7:30 pm to 7:30 am. Bus passes are available. Families with children may also receive meal and motel vouchers through Open Doors. For more information or a tour, contact Housing and Homelessness Coordinator Ryan Parker.

The USU Botanical Center seeks artists of all ages and mediums for the 3rd Annual Art in the Arboretum, a free outdoor exhibition on May 16 at the Varga Arboretum in Kaysville. Artists can exhibit their work, enter a judged competition, or both. This year's optional theme is Community in Bloom. Apply by April 16. Contact the USU Botanical Center for more information.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library now mails a free monthly book to Davis County children from birth through age five. The program is currently available in Centerville, Farmington, Kaysville, and Fruit Heights. Organizers are seeking local business partners to help fund a countywide expansion, which costs $32 per child annually. Families can learn more or enroll online.

Spring brings kitten season to Northern Utah. Last year, Davis County Animal Care took in over 800 kittens requiring medical attention and foster support. To manage this seasonal influx, the shelter needs community assistance through fostering and donations. Trap-Neuter-Return programs also help reduce shelter populations. Visit Davis County Animal Care to adopt, or contact the shelter for more information on how to help.

Top 50 Women Leaders of Utah

Discover Davis Tourism Director Jessica Merrill was named one of the Top 50 Women Leaders of Utah for 2026 by The Women We Admire. Merrill leads Davis County tourism marketing and manages a $15 million annual budget. She oversees brand strategy for Discover Davis, Western Sports Park, and the Davis Conference Center, and helped lead the Western Sports Park expansion. Merrill was previously named Utah's 2023 Outstanding Tourism Director of the Year.
