This is a delightful hike along a forested stream. You will pass through deer habitat then up a steep hill for a fantastic view of the valley below. Distance: ~3 miles roundtrip
Cyclists and pedestrians share this paved trail that parallels the Legacy Parkway from Farmington to North Salt Lake. Scenic views include striking mountains, farmland, wildlife, and migratory birds. The Legacy Parkway Trail temporarily merges with the D & RGW Trail in Centerville. To reach this trail head travel west on Parrish Lane then north on 1250 W. Follow the road until it crosses over Legacy Parkway and curves west to eventually meet 900 W.
This is a very popular trail up the main canyon of Farmington. The trail affords wonderful views of this narrow and scenic canyon. Halfway up the canyon the top of the trail reaches the Sunset Campground. The most dramatic waterfall east of Farmington is just below the Sunset Campground area.To reach the trailhead, travel north on Farmington Canyon Road. Park in the parking lot at the hairpin turn where the pavement ends. Distance: 6 miles roundtrip
This trail begins at Eggett Park in Bountiful.
This trail travels along the Great Salt Lake. To reach the trailhead, travel all the way past The Great Salt Lake Nature Center at Farmington Bay to the west end of Glovers Lane. Distance: 3 miles
The Syracuse Trail passes south-east through the cities of Clearfield and Syracuse. It runs parallel to Bluff Road passing through Rock Creek, Fremont, and Jensen Nature Parks and ending at Gentile Street. Mike Moyes Trailside Park is a small walking park in Syracuse with a few shaded picnic spots and open grassy areas. It is surrounded by the Syracuse Trail and located just southeast of Linda Vista Park.
Founded in 1847, Farmington has a rich history. This walking tour guides you to a few of the historic locations still around. Most of the homes are privately owned and do not offer tours. However, the experience is well worth it. The trailhead is located at 130 N Main St. in the City Offices.
