Provides Information and Assistance to connect older adults and families to services and resources that help them explore options, assist with independent living, and provide information about health care benefits and fraud prevention.

Provides free, in depth, one-on-one insurance counseling and assistance to Medicare beneficiaries, their families, friends, and caregivers. The State Health Insurance Assistance Programs can answer questions about Medicare Health Benefits.  

The SMP program empowers seniors through increased awareness and understanding of healthcare programs, and how to recognize instances or patterns of health care fraud. This knowledge helps them to protect themselves from the economic and health-related. consequences of Medicare and Medicaid fraud, error and abuse.

Long-Term Care Ombudsmen are advocates for residents of nursing homes, board and care homes, assisted living facilities and similar adult care facilities. They work to resolve problems of individual residents and to bring about changes at the local, state and national levels that will improve residents’ care and quality of life.

Caregivers are faced with a host of new responsibilities many of which are unfamiliar and intimidating and can ultimately create caregiver burnout.   As a result, the Caregiver Support Program is a short term program that provides assistance and support to these caregivers

In-Home Senior Services Programs provide home care services for those at risk of premature placement into a Nursing Home. Assistance is also provided to individuals transitioning from one care setting to another.Eligibility criteria for these services include age consideration, medical condition, and meeting financial requirements

Homemaker Services provide housekeeping services for those at risk of premature placement into a Nursing Home. Eligibility criteria for these services include age consideration, medical condition, and meeting financial requirements.

This Class is designed to help youth overcome nicotine addiction.  The course discusses some of the dangers of tobacco use, addresses widespread cultural beliefs and norms involving tobacco, and dispels some of the misconceptions regarding electronic cigarettes.  At the completion of the END class, youth will have a better understanding of life skills and will be better prepared to overcome nicotine addiction.
