Farewell to Davis County Leaders

Davis County is saying goodbye to three leaders who have served as elected officials for many years.

  • Mark Altom, Davis County Treasurer | Served 32 years
  • Randy Elliott, Davis County Commissioner | Served 8 years
  • Richard Maughan, Davis County Recorder | Served 22 years

Their contributions to the County are greatly appreciated. We wish them well in their future endeavors.

NEW LEADERSHIP OFFICIALS
Oath of Office January 6th
Newly elected officers will participate in a swearing-in ceremony on January 6th at 10:00 am in the Davis County Administration Building. John Crofts will take the office of Commissioner, Kelly Silvester will become the Recorder, and Matt Brady will be sworn in as the Treasurer. Davis County Assessor Andy Hansen and Surveyor Max Elliott will also take the oath of office for another 4-year term.

Code Blue | Bus Service to Warming Centers

Code Blue refers to a weather event between October 15th and April 30th when temperatures are predicted to drop below 18°F or during other extreme weather conditions. During Code Blue, Davis County will provide a Warming Center from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM for individuals experiencing homelessness.

Five designated bus stops throughout the County will serve as pickup and drop-off locations. A Davis County bus will transport individuals in the evening and return them the following morning. Below are the designated locations and pickup times:

Did you know that we bring you three virtual author talks each month? These bestselling authors stream live and you can watch in real time or watch later. When you register for a talk, you can submit a question for the author and there's a good chance it will get answered during the program! Virtual author talks are a great addition to book clubs reading a book by a featured author. Watch the author talk as part of your discussion group!
