Evening Commission Meetings
April 8, May 13, and June 10

The Davis County Board of Commissioners meetings are regularly held on Tuesdays at 10:00 am. For the months of April, May, and June, the 2nd Tuesday commission meetings will be held at 6:00 pm to give more citizens an opportunity to participate. These public meetings are held on the 3rd floor of the Davis County Administration Building.

They are now open 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays.

If you find a litter of kittens alone, don’t assume that they’re abandoned. Momma cats rarely abandon their babies and are typically nearby hunting for food or hiding from humans.

The Utah Geological Survey says the Wasatch Front has a 57% probability of a 6.0+ magnitude earthquake in the next 50 years.

Are you prepared? Test your preparedness by participating in the 2025 Davis County Great Shakeout Challenge, a virtual race to get QuakeSmart sponsored by the Davis County Sheriff’s Office.

Golden Spoke Bike Ride

The Golden Spoke Bike Ride is back for its’ eighth year of celebrating the eight trails that connect riders from Ogden all the way to Provo. Whether you’re new to cycling, or are a seasoned professional, this ride is for you. With two family friendly bike rides at the beginning and end of the course, and four different starting locations along the route, participants can find an option that fits their abilities. Take a look at the 2025 Event Ride Details tab to learn more about the different options before you register.

This event is FREE and all registered participants will receive a water bottle and a complimentary UTA transit pass to help you get to and from the ride. The first 200 to register will also receive a $10 voucher toward food and drink at the end of ride event. Commemorative event T-shirts can also be purchased for $15 with orders placed by April 18th.

Ben Lesser, author and Holocaust survivor will be featured in a live stream event at the Clearfield Library. Mr. Lessner was 11 at the time Poland was invaded by the Germans. He and his family of seven were subjected to unimaginable abuses including ghettos and violent attacks. He went on to survive four concentration camps, two death trains, and a death march. He and his sister, Lola, were the only remaining members of their immediate family when Dachau concentration camp was liberated in 1945. At 18, he emigrated to the U.S. and his journey to live the American Dream began. At 96, he continues to share his message and testimony so that the Holocaust is never forgotten or repeated.
