All Utah students in Preschool and grades K-12 are invited to participate in the Great Salt Lake Bird Festival Student Art Contest for cash prizes. Rules and Guidelines may be found in the 2026 Student Art Contest packet linked below.

All submissions must be received by 4:00 pm on Friday, April 24, 2026.

Student Art Contest Viewing and Awards


Student Art Contest Awards will be presented on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 6:00 pm at the GSL Bird Fest headquarters hosted at Western Sports Park. Join us to visit booths at the Wings & Things Vendor Fair between Noon - 6:00 pm prior to awards and stay after to enjoy our free art workshops.

All student artwork will be on display at the Wings & Things Vendor Fair, which will be open Friday, May 15 from 12 - 6 pm and Saturday, May 16 from 9 am - 2 pm.
