2024 Presidential Nomination Notice
img

On March 5, 2024, political parties will be nominating their candidate for President of the United States. Your participation in this process will help determine who is nominated to represent each party in the General Election this November. Utah Election Law allows each political party to choose how they select their nominee and to determine who is eligible to participate in the nominating process based upon political party affiliation. Only the Democratic and Republican parties have indicated their participation in this process.

Republican Party
The Republican Party of Utah has chosen to hold a Preference Poll in conjunction with their state-wide caucus meetings and will not be participating in the State’s Presidential Primary Election. The Party has determined that voters eligible to participate in the poll will be restricted to those who are registered to vote as affiliated members of the Republican Party. Those who are unaffiliated or registered to other parties will not be permitted to participate. The Caucuses are meetings of the political party; they are not administered by Davis County or the State of Utah. You will not receive a ballot in the mail for this event from Davis County. For more information about caucus meetings, locations, and times, please visit the Republican Party's Website using the button "DavisGOP.org" below.

Democratic Party
The Democratic Party of Utah has chosen to participate in the State's Presidential Primary Election. The Democratic Party has chosen to allow individuals registered with other political parties and unaffiliated voters, to participate in their primary election. However, only voters affiliated with the Democratic Party will receive their ballot automatically; all other voters wishing to participate will need to request a ballot.

For more information please visit the links below, or call(801) 451-3213.

To receive your ballot by mail, please make your request by January 31st.
