Big MAKS is a group of “Moms with Autistic Kids” who rally around each other for encouragement and laughter. MAKS is not a support group — But you will find support from others who “Get it.” After all, we’re only as strong as our hairspray, our diet coke, and our friends!
The Davis County Branch of the CHADD of Utah Chapter is offering a support group for parents of children with ADHD. Educators are also invite to attend. In each meeting a different professional speaker will share their knowledge, free of charge!
Our support group's mission is to provide a comfortable and relaxed setting where people who have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease can meet and socialize, as well as learn from subject matter experts about health and wellness, in order to enable Parkinson’s patients and their caregivers to maximize their strengths and quality of life as much as possible. Our monthly schedule will consist of knowledgeable briefers, fun activities, and social interactions all aimed at supporting Parkinson’s patients, their families, and caregivers.
In a private setting, female clients share information and ideas to help each other sustain recovery, improve relationships, become better mothers, and clarify individual goals. This weekly support group is open ended and available to clients indefinitely.
