Insurance

Some insurance plans are accepted. Individuals should call their insurance company to verify coverage for specific immunizations.

Those without insurance will need to pay for their immunizations at the time of service.

People covered by plans not accepted by the Davis County Health Department will need to pay at the time of service and then submit for reimbursement from their own health insurance carriers.

International Travel Vaccinations

The Davis County Health Department’s International Travel Clinic provides pre-travel consultations including important information on potential health risks, personal protection measures, food and water safety tips, high altitude sickness, motion sickness, traveling while pregnant, and jet lag. Targeted education about risks specific to the traveler’s destination is also provided.

In addition to education, this by appointment only clinic also offers a variety of immunizations to target and prevent diseases common in countries around the world. While Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria, and Typhoid vaccines are recommended for most travelers headed abroad, Yellow Fever vaccine is required when visiting risk-specific countries. Prescriptions for treatment or prevention of ailments, such as Travelers’ Diarrhea, Malaria, and altitude sickness, are available.

For an appointment and consultation, call (801) 773-8834 (M, W, F) or (801) 298-3919 (T, Th).
