Ashleigh Young - Director
Biography: If you love your job, there is no such thing as work, and when it comes to working with animals, there are few things Ashleigh loves more. Ashleigh has been working professionally in the animal field for the past 9 years and started as the Operations Manager at Animal Care of Davis County in June of 2020. She was promoted to Deputy Director in April of 2021 and to Director in October of 2021. She holds a bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Oregon State University, and is also Fear Free certified and an approved AKC Canine Good Citizen assessor as well.
Ashleigh currently has two dogs, a 4 year old English Springer Spaniel named Pepper, and a 1 1/2 year old Golden Doodle named Fisher. Ashleigh has trialed and trained in CPE agility, rally, obedience, and K9 Nose Work both personally and professionally. Ashleigh has many topics she is passionate about - she is an avid knitter, gardener, loves to bake, and is found hitting the trails most weekends with Pepper and Fisher.
