Prior to the adoption of Ord. 05-2002 on 12/24/2002, Section 5.04.060 read as follows.

A.        It is unlawful for any person to engage in any business in the unincorporated areas of Davis County without first applying for and obtaining an appropriate county business license, and paying, in advance, the full amount of the required license fee. (Ord. 4-2000 Art. III(A))

B.        If any person has a current, valid, and unexpired business license issued by a city within Davis County which grants reciprocal recognition to licenses issued by Davis County under the provisions of this chapter, that person is not required to apply for or obtain a business license from Davis County or pay a license fee.
