Entrance Fee $9 per vehicle, $4 per bicycle.
This is the place to experience the Great Salt Lake and float in the buoyant water.  White sand beaches, sunsets, free-roaming bison herd and dramatic geology- rolling sage to prehistoric rocks.  This is the real west.  Horseback riding available.

Pelicans, eared grebes, Wilson's Phalaropes, herons, ducks, geese and millions of migrating shorebirds depend on Farmington Bay.  February is the time to see Eagles at the bay.  One of eight WMA's along the Great Salt Lake, this is a great place to watch birds, bike and walk.   It is also a popular attraction as part of the Great Salt Lake Bird Festival.  Watch for a new visitor center at this site.  Open daily 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Free Admission.

Lagoon has it all! Take a wild ride on Utah's only wooden roller coaster.   Experience The Rocket's thrust into space.  Slide and splash at the Waterpark.  Stroll along the midway or visit the Old West at Pioneer Village.  Open daily Memorial Day through Labor Day and weekends mid-April through September.

This new facility houses rotating collections and exhibits, including traveling exhibits from the Smithsonian.  Layton Heritage Museum is also home to the Davis Arts Council, which schedules many popular events in the adjacent Ed Kenley Centennial Amphitheater.

This new facility includes indoor and outdoor arenas, riding clubs, livestock barn and stalls, racetrack, exhibit halls, and snack bars.   It is open year around and is available for rent.  The Legacy is home to the Davis County Fair held in August and the Great Salt Lake Bird Festival held in May.

Famous local artist LeConte Stewart is honored in his hometown of Kaysville.  Many original paintings and a history of the artist are located in the gallery of the Kaysville Branch Library.  I-15 exit #328, east to Main Street, south 1 1/2 blocks.  Hours 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. M-Th, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. F-Sat, closed Sundays and holidays.

Skyline Drive Scenic Backway
The colored rock formations of Farmington Canyon create breathtaking vistas around each curve in the road. Enjoy alpine scenery and a spectacular view of the Great Salt Lake.  Road is not paved or maintained.  Take water/supplies with you.  Open May to October.

While not technically in Davis County, it is right on the border.  Admission is free to see many restored airplanes in this large indoor/outdoor museum and gift shop.  Open daily 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Davis County Causeway
Take I-15 exit 332, west seven miles
Drive across the Great Salt Lake.  Water lapping on both sides of the road provides a unique experience.  Constructed specifically with cyclists in mind, the causeway sports wide bike lanes and offers unparalleled views of the lake and island.  The causeway is the entrance to Antelope Island State Park.  Entrance fee is $9 per vehicle, $4 per bike/blade/walk.

Owned and operated by Utah State University, the Utah Botanical Center is an emerging public garden with resource conservation as its primary focus. The Center's responsibility is to educate people regarding water conserving landscapes, wetland ecosystems, storm water management and other topics. Walking paths, an educational pavilion, bird watching, fishing, and selected horticulture classes are available.
