Exhibit Hours: Friday, May 17, 12 noon – 7:15 pm

Booth and Exhibit Hours: Saturday, May 18, 9am – 6 pm

Unless otherwise noted, participants should bring binoculars, water, snacks and/or lunch depending on length of trip, camera, sunscreen, hat, and appropriate clothing.

Friday, May 17th 

6 pm:  Student Art and Photography Contest Awards sponsored by the Davis County Youth Charities Cup

6:15 - 7:15 pm  Family Program- Workshop: Bird Cartoons 101
     Keynote Rosemary Mosco has made a career of drawing and writing funny comics about birds and other wildlife. Nature cartoons can encourage conservation and spread a love of nature. Discover tips for creating your very own comics; and laugh while you learn!

 Saturday, May 18th   

  • 8 am - 12 pm  Boy Scout Merit Badge & Youth Program (#28 registration fee  $5/youth, leaders free)  
  • 8 am - Introduction to Bird Photography: Camera, Settings, Techniques

  • 9 am Workshop –  Painting a Soundscape - Tracy Aviary

  • 9:30 am Workshop – Black Hawks and Harris Hawks - Ben  Woodruff

  • 10  am - 2 pm - Youth and Family activities including a craft while supplies last

  • 10:45 am Workshop - Fast Flyers, Ogden Nature Center

  • 11:45 am Workshop - I See a Bird! - Nicaela Haig, DWR
  • 12 pm Workshop - PELI-Can We Update you on American White Pelican Research in Utah? - Jaimi Butler, The Great Salt Lake Peli Project
  • 1 pm Workshop - Port in the Storm - Building Gardens for our Winged Friends - Willard Bay Gardens
  • 1 pm Birding For Beginners WORKSHOP - free then Field Trip #33
