Eat Cake
by Jeanne Ray

Eat Cake is a sometimes laugh-out-loud book about dealing both with trials and discovering your talents. Ruth is a mom who wants to make life good for everyone else, and when anyone is struggling, she bakes a cake. She has a lot to juggle with her mother who has moved in with the family, her husband who has just lost his job, and her teenaged daughter who has developed an attitude. Then her dad moves in (her mom and dad are divorced and hate each other) and Ruth wants to bake a cake everyday. Lots of problems, lots of laughter, and lots of love. A humorous ode to the healing power of cake.
