Tactical Incident Dispatch Team
The Davis County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center maintains a trained team of Tactical Incident Dispatchers.
These dispatchers are available to respond to major incidents and/or special events occurring in the field to provide on-site
communications support. A Tactical Incident Dispatcher may be deployed on-scene, in the Communications Center, at the
Tactical Command Post, or at all three locations, depending upon the scope of the incident. The role of the Tactical
Incident Dispatcher is to support the Tactical Command Staff and/or Incident Commander with accurate and timely documentation
of events during high risk or large, significant operations for police, fire or medical.
Tactical Incident Dispatchers respond with the Mobile Command Post or meet at the scene and immediately establish multi
modes of communication technology. The Tactical Incident Dispatchers are trained in all facets of dispatching and use
state of the art communications and incident command equipment. They respond to assist the Davis County SWAT, Negotiators,
Search and Rescue, Emergency Services Teams as well as various police and fire agencies. The Tactical Incident Dispatch Team
consists of an Operations Team Leader, SWAT, Police, Fire, Search and Rescue Team Leader, and five team members.
The Tactical Dispatch Team are on call 24/7 through the Dispatch Center.
