Fire Restrictions

We are now in Stage 2 Fire Restrictions. Due to extreme fire danger, persistent hot and dry weather, and an increase in statewide fire activity, interagency fire officials are implementing Stage 2 Fire Restrictions beginning June 26, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. These restrictions apply to all state and unincorporated private lands in Utah, as well as multiple federal jurisdictions.

Budget Amendments

Pursuant to UCA §17-63-402 and under UCA §63G-30-102, notice is hereby given by the Board of Davis County Commissioners, Farmington, Utah, that a public hearing will be held on
Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 10:00 am in Room 303 of the Davis County Administrative Building, 61 S Main Street, Farmington, Utah, to consider amending the 2026 Operating and Capital Budgets.

New E-Bike Laws

Utah E-BIKE law takes effect May 6, 2026. All e-bike and e-scooter riders under 21 must wear cpsc helmets on roads. All devices that travel over 20 mph without pedaling are considered e-motorcycles.

Davis County has received multiple inquiries regarding a recently circulated General Plan for the city of Fruit Heights. This plan includes alternative uses for many areas of the city for undeveloped and developed land including land owned by private citizens, business and government, including Davis County owned land such as Davis Park Golf Course.

Animal Care of Davis County is seeing unprecedented numbers of dogs entering our care in the past few months. With this many dogs coming in we are in desperate need of assistance with dog walking and temporary caregivers, as well as adopters.
