New E-Bike Laws

Utah E-BIKE law takes effect May 6, 2026. All e-bike and e-scooter riders under 21 must wear cpsc helmets on roads. All devices that travel over 20 mph without pedaling are considered e-motorcycles.

Davis County has received multiple inquiries regarding a recently circulated General Plan for the city of Fruit Heights. This plan includes alternative uses for many areas of the city for undeveloped and developed land including land owned by private citizens, business and government, including Davis County owned land such as Davis Park Golf Course.

Notice of Sale of Davis County Surplus Real Property

Notice is hereby given that, on or after January 6, 2026, Davis County may sell all or part of the following parcels of property known as: Hughes Industrial Park Drainage Ditch located at approximately 770 North 700 West, North Salt Lake, and East Parking lot at the Bountiful Library The public may comment by written statement on the proposed disposition of the Property on or before 10:00 a.m. prior to the Davis County Commission meeting on on January 6, 2026.

Notice of Proposed Tax Increase

View the document to see the following taxing entities are proposing to increase property tax revenue, including the DAVIS tax.  Data is based on the taxing entity's average value. Concerned citizens are invited to attend the public hearings listed.

Evening Commission Meetings Pilot Program

The commissioners are piloting a new meeting time—moving the second Tuesday meeting from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM for three months—to see if it better accommodates citizens' needs. They will review attendance and gather feedback to assess if the later time improves participation.

Election Day

PRIMARY ELECTION - JUNE 23, 2026

Tuesday, June 23, 2026 is Primary Election Day in Utah. Davis County voters can cast their ballot by mail, at a secure drop box, or in person at any Vote Center. Mail ballots must be postmarked no later than Monday, June 22. Drop boxes close and polls close at 8:00 p.m. Visit the Davis County Clerk's Office page for Vote Center locations and your sample ballot.
