Inspection/Maintenance (I/M) Emissions Testing
Vehicles registered in Davis County, less than six (6) years old, are required to have an emissions test once every two (2) years. Any vehicle older than six (6) years old, and that is model year 1968 or newer, must receive an emissions test yearly. Refer to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) website to see the specific emissions testing schedule.
Gasoline vehicles may be tested at any certified station. Emissions testing locations for diesel vehicles, however, are determined based on their Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR).
For more information about I/M emissions testing, visit our I/M Webpage.

Vehicle Repair and Replacement Assistance Program
The Vehicle Repair and Replacement Assistance Program (VRRAP) provides financial assistance toward the repair or replacement of vehicles that are unable to pass current emission standards. Financial assistance can be awarded to individuals with household incomes at or below 300% of the federal poverty guidelines. Visit our VRRAP webpage for more information or download an application here.
