The Patrol Division of Davis County Sheriff’s Office is unique in that many of the deputy sheriffs are also paramedics—a dual-role program that was established in 1978. We also employ law enforcement only deputy sheriffs and regularly respond to calls throughout Davis County and provide dedicated service to Fruit Heights, South Weber, and West Point.

Justice Services investigates criminal cases in Fruit Heights, South Weber, West Point, unincorporated areas of Davis County, U.S. Forest Service Property, and Antelope Island. Court security and bailiff services, as well as civil process services, are an integral part of our Justice Services division.

Found Property Notice

To claim ownership of found/recovered property one must provide a current picture ID as well as proof of ownership of the item in the form of either a purchase receipt or by description of specific distinguishing item features (including VIN or Serial Numbers if they pertain to the item).

To make a claim or for questions pertaining to lost or recovered property, please contact:

If unclaimed, found/recovered property items currently in the possession of the Property and Evidence Unit of the Davis County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab will be applied to public interest use or destroyed pursuant to Utah Code 77-24a-D.

Deputies assigned to the district and justice courts are responsible for security checkpoints, transporting inmates for court appearances, and ensuring the safety of everyone in the courtroom.

Second District Courts are located in Farmington, Layton, and Bountiful. The Davis County Justice Court is located in Farmington.
