Davis Shooting Range is open to the public on the Public Bay with range safety officers on site. All shooters and guests must have a valid pass and sign a new waiver each visit.

What to know
- Cashless operation. Bring your digital receipt or QR code for check in.
- Eye and ear protection required for everyone on the active range.
- One paper target allocation is issued at check in per pass use.

No handling firearms while others are downrange.

Violators will be removed from the range without refund.

Yes. Muzzleloaders are permitted on the range as long as they are handled safely and in compliance with all range rules.
The public bay is set for distances up to 100 yards. Some bays may be configured differently for competitions or training.
The day pass is $15 per patron. Annual passes are $175, with a discounted rate of $75 for seniors age 65 and older.
Yes. Eye and ear protection is mandatory for everyone on the range, including shooters and spectators. Eye protection can be prescription glasses, sunglasses, or safety glasses. Ear protection must be worn any time the range is hot.
Yes, but targets must meet range rules. No glass, ceramic, propane tanks, or unapproved metal targets. Metal targets for centerfire must be at least 50 yards away; .22 caliber rimfire metal targets may be shot at 25 yards. All targets must be cleaned up before you leave.
Most common calibers are allowed, but .50 BMG is prohibited during public hours. Other high-powered calibers may be restricted at the RO’s discretion. Steel core ammo is restricted July 1–September 15 due to fire danger.
No open carry is allowed on the public range for patrons. Concealed firearms are exempt but must remain concealed. Firearms may not be drawn from the holster to fire. Range Officers on duty may open carry.
Yes, but with restrictions. No one under 8 years old may handle a firearm. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and under direct supervision at all times.
Yes. All participants must sign the Davis County Shooting Range Waiver before using the range. Waivers are valid for one year and can be signed online or in person. Minors require a parent/guardian signature.
