Construction

Due to construction on Hwy 89, the only access to our shelter is via the Oakmont Ln/650 N/Crestwood Rd detour. Follow posted signs for these detours off of Hwy 89, then take Mountain Road headed southbound toward the shelter.

Raccoons and Skunks

Animal Care of Davis County no longer responds to calls for Urban Wildlife including Raccoons and Skunks. Please refer to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources for a list of registered wildlife rehabilitation and nuisance control agencies.

Rabies Vaccinations Temporarily Unavailable

DEA, DOPL and the Compendium for Rabies Control only allow a certified Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) to supervise the administration of the Rabies Vaccine. Because of this we are unable to offer the Rabies Vaccination to the public.

About Animal Care

Davis County Animal Care is committed to providing great service to residents and compassionate care to animals, working tirelessly to support public safety, find homes for homeless animals and educate the community about responsible pet ownership.

We are a Socially Conscious Animal Welfare Organization, which means we place every single healthy and safe pet. We also address the medical and behavioral needs of all animals while they are in our care. If an animal is suffering and cannot be helped, we will provide compassionate euthanasia.

Looking for a pet? We have many dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, rabbits, birds and other small animals available for adoption. Who knows…You may find your new best friend!
