Bountiful is a well-run city! Good leaders are good listeners, but real leadership is more than putting a finger in the in the air to see what’s popular. I base my decisions on gathering good information and careful management of tax dollars. Good government is the best kind of politics. Good leadership and teamwork have meant award-winning parks, a safe city, an inclusive and caring community, and one of the highest quality of life ratings in Davis County!
I have a lifetime of proven leadership experience. Business: Founder of Biolabs, a full-service medical laboratory serving clinics and health care facilities from Salt Lake to Ogden for 25 years; Chief Administrator for Orchard Cove Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center for 10 years; Director of Public Relations for Creekside Assisted Living Center in Bountiful. Board of Directors, Lakeview Hospital, 2016 -- 2018.
Community: Mayor of Bountiful, 8 years; Chair, Davis County Board of Health, 2019; Chair, Davis County Council of Governments, 2018; Chair, South Davis Fire District, 2019; Chair, South Davis Recreation Center, 2019.
Faith: 20 years of leadership service in my church as a health services missionary, ward bishop, stake president, and mission president in Alaska.
Bountiful is awesome! The community provides a great place to raise a family. There are many fun and culturally uplifting events sponsored by the city and community leaders that residents enjoy. The future of Bountiful depends on effective planning and business development to continue the great traditions provided by hard working citizens over the last century. The city can be BETTER by leaders reaching out to the community and developing a unified plan for where the city will be in 10, 20, and 50 years from now. Share your vision with me and I'll work with you to make it happen.
Bountiful is a great city because of contributions provided by generations of devoted citizens, business leaders, and government leaders. Bountiful City's future depends on improved efforts to develop a unified plan for community investment of time and resources. It starts with leadership from the Mayor's office by building bridges with the community. Effective planning listens to the concerns of the community and only moves forward when there is a BALANCED plan that creates unity and is fair to everyone. By working together, citizens, business, government, and city planners can develop community plans for a better city government.
I have lived and worked in Davis County for over 35 years. The past 13 years my wife and I Have lived in Farmington where we have raided our 2 amazing children. I have had the privilege of working and leading many teams for a local Utah Credit Union for over 17 years. Throughout my career, I have enjoyed helping people with their personal budgets, helping employees grow to their full career potential, all the while prudently managing hundreds of million dollar budgets for the branches I have overseen.

I am the CFO for Davis Behavioral Health, a provider of mental health and substance abuse treatment services. I have worked in accounting/finance for about 23 years. My background in budgeting, accounting and management will help me bring strength to the position Mayor.
I enjoy being involved in the community. I am completing my 12th year on the Woods Cross City Council. Before serving on City Council, I served for 7 years on the Planning Commission in Woods Cross. I also serve as a Trustee on the Board of South Davis Sewer District. These opportunities have provided me with valuable experience and knowledge of our city.
Air quality, traffic safety, a stable/diverse tax base, and managing growth are major issues for our city. We need to continue to do all we can to improve the air quality within our city. We must manage our future growth, both residential and commercial, to stabilize our tax base and improve the quality of life that we enjoy in Woods Cross. We have a great opportunity as we develop the area around 500 South, Redwood Road and the Legacy Highway interchange. We need the right mix of uses in this area as it is a gateway to our community.
I look forward to continuing my service to the citizens of Woods Cross, and I would appreciate your vote. Please feel free to contact me with questions, comments or concerns: 801-971-4741 or email@example.com
