Family Day

Family Day will be held at the Eccles Wildlife Center from 9:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
1157 South Waterfowl Way, Farmington, UT 84025

Unless otherwise noted, participants should bring binoculars, water, snacks and/or lunch depending on length of trip, camera, sunscreen, hat, and appropriate clothing.

Join us for our 25th Anniversary at The Great Salt Lake Bird Festival Family Day!

We are excited to team up with HawkWatch International, Ogden Nature Center, and Tracy Aviary to create one “hoot” of a time. Come out and enjoy all things birds!

Live Bird Workshops
Pinecone Feeders
Book Readings
Mist Netting and Bird Banding Demo*
Arts and Crafts
Guided Nature Walks
Live Bird Sketching
Scavenger Hunt
Bird Feeder Building
Owl-Pellet Dissections*
Photo Ops
Face Paint and More!

Family day will be hosted at the Eccles Wildlife Education Center from 9:00 am- 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 20th, 2023. Stay tuned for a detailed schedule of activities.

NOTICE TO ALL FAMILY DAY PARTICIPANTS: GREAT SALT LAKE BIRD FESTIVAL STAFF MEMBERS AND A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER WILL BE TAKING PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF TODAY'S EVENTS FOR FUTURE FESTIVAL MARKETING MATERIALS. BY PARTICIPATING IN TODAY'S ACTIVITIES, YOU AGREE TO ALLOW PHOTOS AND/OR VIDEOS TO BE TAKEN OF YOU AND/OR YOUR CHILD AND GIVE PERMISSION FOR THEM TO BE USED IN FUTURE MARKETING MATERIALS. PLEASE FIND A FESTIVAL STAFF MEMBER IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS.
