International Travel Clinic

Appointments are required for Davis County Health Department's International Travel Clinic.

During your visit, you will receive important information on possible health risks, personal protection measures, food and water safety tips, high altitude sickness, motion sickness, traveling while pregnant, and jet lag. We will also provide information to prevent diseases common in countries around the world and include specific concerns for the area you are visiting.

While Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria, and Typhoid vaccines are recommended for most travelers headed abroad, Yellow Fever vaccine is required when visiting risk-specific countries. To fill this gap Sanofi Pasteur received approval from the FDA to make STAMARIL yellow fever vaccine available in the United States through the Expanded Access Investigational New Drug Program (EAP).

We will be offering YF-VAX yellow fever vaccine until our stock is depleted. Once our stock is depleted, we will begin offering the STAMARIL yellow fever vaccine. If you are interested in receiving a yellow fever vaccination, please contact us at (801) 525-5020.  An appointment/consultation is required in order to receive the vaccination.

STAMARIL Background (Yellow Fever vaccine)
According to Sanofi Pasteur, STAMARIL is a live and attenuated yellow fever vaccine with a similar profile to the YF-VAX vaccine. STAMARIL is manufactured by Sanofi Pasteur in France with a large base of experience.
