Jail Information Davis County Correctional Facility, also referred to as Davis County Jail, has the legal obligation to care for inmates held in custody. We have an average daily population of approximately 800 inmates, which includes the Work Center—a separate facility that houses Work Release and Work Detail Inmates.
Our operations are subject to careful oversight. The Utah Sheriff's Association sets the standards for jail operations, and our facility is inspected annually to ensure the standards are being met. Additional oversight is provided by the Utah State Department of Corrections, U.S. Marshals Service, Davis County Environmental Health, medical authorities and state and local Fire Marshals.
Our Corrections staff is comprised of dedicated and professional deputies who operate the facility safely, securely, and responsibly.
