Required Equipment

To participate in Antelope by Moonlight Bike Ride you MUST have the following safety equipment.

It's the Law

Utah State law requires all night riders to use a working headlight and reflectors. Working Headlights and Taillights are required. ANSI/Snell approved helmets are mandatory for this ride, and the use of headlamps on helmets and reflective clothing is recommended.

A light package from Biker’s Edge (headlight and taillight) can be purchased at the Kaysville store location before the day of the Ride. For availability call 801-544-5300.

Yes, all three things are mandatory in order to participate in the ride. Headlamps on helmets and reflective clothing are strongly encouraged.

Early bird pricing: May 15 - May 31 | Adults $35 Kids $30

Regular pricing: June 1 - June 28 | Adults $40 Kids $35

NO t-shirt registration: $25

Your registration fee includes participation in the ride, a t-shirt, snack at the midpoint, entry onto the island, party before the ride, eligibility to win prizes.
Antelope by Moonlight was created to raise awareness about Antelope Island State Park and to provide support for improvements and upkeep so that all can continue to enjoy this land for many years to come. 
No, this is not a race. The ride is designed to be a fun night riding under the moon and stars with your friends, family and a bison off in the distance. 
We currently don't need volunteers, but if you would like to be a sponsor or have a booth at our event please contact Kristal Blessett at kblessett@daviscountyutah.gov
Yes, we do change the theme every year. You do not have to dress up or decorate your bike, although it is always fun if you do. If you do dress up or decorate your bike you are eligible to enter the costume/bike decorating contest. 
No, the park fee is covered in the cost of your ride ticket. 
The last day to register for the ride is June 28th. Shirt sizes are only guaranteed if registered before June 14th. There will be no on-site registration for the ride.
No. You will not be able to register on site. Registration closes on June 28th at 11:59 pm MT.
No. Once you have placed an order for your shirt size that is the shirt that will be available for you.
Check-in begins at 7:00 pm. The entrance gate to the island will close at 9:30. If you aren't on the island by 9:30, you will be turned away. Please plan accordingly. 
It is about a 10-15 minute drive from the park gate to the Marina, however, please expect delays due to an influx of fellow riders on the Island and construction on the Causeway. Please plan travel accordingly as the ride route opens at 10:00 pm and admittance through the gates closes at 9:30 pm
Yes. All participants, kids included need to be registered. If they are a passenger, you still need to register them but there will not be a fee. Keep in mind, if they are registered as a passenger only, they will NOT receive a shirt. 
No. Shirts will be available for pickup on the day of the ride from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
The ride route opens at 10:00 pm. We ask experienced, faster riders to move to the front of the starting line-up allowing family groups and those with slower riders to hang back as the rider groups move onto the course.

Yes, there will be food trucks at the event.

The ride is a 24 mile route. That’s a 24 mile total out-and-back loop on asphalt road, starting from the Marina. Depending on how fast you ride, it can take anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours or more. We encourage riders to know their limits and to find a safe place to turn around at any time. Remember, this is a non-competitive ride and we want participants to have fun enjoying the evening under the full moon.
Unfortunately the tickets are nonrefundable for this ride. 
Yes, you can ride an e-bike. We do ask that you are cautious and aware of the possible slower riders around you. Practice safe biking etiquette. 
Yes, they do still need to be registered as a passenger. It is free to register them but they will not receive a t-shirt unless you register them as a rider. 
Yes! Come prepared for current weather conditions. 
No, furry friends should be left at home.
