Ember Herrick, MPA - Emergency Manager

Biography:

Ember has 20 years of experience working across multiple disciplines including emergency management, community development, and media. She joined Davis County as the Emergency Manager in 2023. Ember has helped the State of Utah and its local communities to secure hundreds of millions of dollars in disaster and mitigation grant funding. She was appointed Utah’s State Infrastructure Branch Director in 2020 and currently serves on the board of Utah’s Emergency Management Association.

As an Army Science and Engineering Scholarship Recipient, Ember secured a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications & Political Science, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Brigham Young University. She also has a Master’s Degree in International Communications from Nottingham Trent University in the UK, is a graduate of the Emergency Management Institute’s National Emergency Management Advanced Academy, and completed her EMT at SLCC.

Ember finds great fulfillment in empowering individuals to prepare for, respond to, and become more resilient to natural disasters.

Stockton Trujillo, MSEM - Emergency Planner

Biography:

Stockton Trujillo began working as an Emergency Planner for Davis County in March of 2022. Stockton brings a wealth of knowledge to the County. He's an experienced first responder and has served as a firefighter since 2016, with the last 4 years serving as a firefighter for Ogden City.

Stockton also holds a Master's Degree in Emergency Management from Jacksonville State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Services Administration from Utah Valley University.
