At some point in her life outside, she contracted fhv-1 (feline herpes), which is a feline virus that can cause respiratory symptoms. Similar to cold sores in a human, she will always be a carrier for this virus so it's preferred that she be an only cat or live with another cat who already has fhv-1. She is living with a foster who is happy to answer any questions you might have.
