Description

Learn about the American Kestrel from Hawkwatch International. They have been monitoring kestrels for a decade as part of their Cavity Adopting Raptor Ecology Study (CARES). You will go out with the biologists that run the study to visit active nest sites while observing North America's smallest falcon.

Participants may see technicians handle live birds for scientific purposes. All birds handled as part of this experience are authorized by federal and state permits for scientific research. Participants may be asked not to photograph birds while they are being handled.
