Description

Join naturalists from Antelope Island State Park and HawkWatch International for this intimate birding experience on the Great Salt Lake. Participants will meet at the Antelope Island State Park Marina where we'll go over kayaking safety before heading out on the water to look for avocets, ibis, grebes, gulls, phalaropes, ducks, and more. Participants should be in good physical condition with the ability to squat, paddle against the wind, and swim if needed. Adult kayaks can support up to 250 pounds. All participants must be able to pilot their own kayaks and are required to wear provided life jackets.

Weather Permitting. This trip is dependent on water levels.

*Ticket includes park entry, head net, kayak, and life jacket rental.
