Oral Health

Oral health includes your teeth, gums, throat, and the bones around your teeth, and is important for your overall well-being.

New State Law

Effective May 2025, a state law prohibits adding fluoride to community water. Davis County Health Department wants to make sure everyone has the information they need to take action to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. These issues can cause cavities, pain, tooth loss, and other health problems.

  •

It's important to talk with a dentist, doctor, or pharmacist about how to best protect your teeth.

How much natural fluoride is in your drinking water?

    Drinking Water

Most water sources in Davis County do not have enough naturally-occurring fluoride in the water to protect people's teeth.

Local water districts are the best source of data on fluoride levels in your drinking water. Visit the Utah Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) drinking water system webpage below to see which local water district serves your home.
