Feathers & Ink: Crafting Birds in Comic Art

Dive into the whimsical world of comics - with birds! Join us for a unique workshop by local Salt Lake City comic book artist Colleen Palmer who will teach you the basics of making comics, and then guide the class through a one-of-a-kind drawing session where you’ll create a short comic together! By the end of the presentation you'll have mastered the essentials of comic creation, along with imaginative techniques to transform realistic birds into stylish illustrations.

Bring your sketchbook and pencils and get ready to draw! Supplies will be provided if you don’t have your own or are just getting started. 

About the Artist 

Colleen Palmer is the creator behind many comics including CROW AND THE ETERNAL NIGHT, CROW AND THE VENGEFUL LIGHT, HUNTER'S MOON, FRACTURED, and other weird and wonderful works. Her art can also be seen in Warden Comic’s cosmic horror comic NOD, as a continuing variant artist on DOUBLE CROSS, and co-curator and editor for the horror comic anthology MONSTROSITIES.
