Consultant:
The Life Safety Committee was established in April of 2019. Their first task was to conduct a thorough review of significant incidents that have occurred within the Davis County Correctional Facility (aka, jail) over the past eight–ten years and help identify what, if any, alternative procedures might have a more positive outcome on future incidents. The committee may also review previously published research and conduct studies or surveys within the Correctional Facility.
This committee also develops effective recommendations that reflect the realities of providing medical care to inmates, many of whom are suffering the effects of substance use disorder, the symptoms of which often mask other more serious medical and mental health conditions.
