Scammers are contacting family members of individuals in our care, falsely claiming that their loved one is eligible for early release through an "Ankle Monitor Program"—but only if a hefty fee is paid, often in Bitcoin. This is a scam.

The Davis County Sheriff's Office does have an Ankle Monitor Program, but it is court-ordered and never requires direct payment from families. We do not accept Bitcoin or any other form of payment for this program.
